Gary Cormack, Chief Executive
Gary joined Picsolve in November 2007 as Chief Executive. His background is in retail. He has worked for Boots The Chemists, where he was Trading Director and for Superdrug, where he was Commercial Director. He has also worked as Managing Director of Retail Interface Consultancy Limited, a strategic Management Consultancy business focussed on retailers and their suppliers. His international experience includes setting up and running businesses across Europe selling consumer goods to major retailers.
Chris Deeth, Operations Director
Chris completed a Civil Engineering degree at Nottingham University ('73 - '76) and followed this with a PhD in Precision Measurement for Deformation Monitoring ('76 - '79). He took this experience into the land survey market place as a representative for the Swedish instrument manufacturer Geotronics AB where he gradually took on additional responsibility for developments in data collection and software integration. After an extended period in this role he moved to Applications in CADD Ltd as Sales Manager and later as Sales Director promoting and supporting the suite of Survey and Civil Engineering software.
Chris moved to Picsolve (formerly Rx-Technology Europe) at the start of the 1998 season as General Manager. With the continued expansion of the company Chris has concentrated his efforts on the Engineering and Support function initially as Engineering Manage and latterly as Operations Director.
Peter Whitaker, Sales Director
Peter worked for The Boots Company Ltd in their Technical Development Department for 5 years and then took time out in order to complete his Nuclear Physics degree from Napier College in Edinburgh in 1976. He worked for Boots until 1988 and during that time completed a Diploma in Business Studies at Derby. He then joined a small, specialised company, Copley Instruments Ltd, which dealt with pharmaceutical testing equipment for the UK, Ireland and Germany. Where he was in charge of their Technical Sales department.
Peter was asked to be a Director with Marvell Consultants Ltd, the forerunner of Picsolve and Rx-Technology Europe, in 1993 and secured the first deal with Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ltd for the supply of a digital photography system. He was a founding Director of Rx-Technology Europe in February 1994 and has been with the company since that time as International Sales and Marketing Director.
Peter has been responsible for negotiating all the major contracts with the theme parks and attractions and has a team of eight Business Development and Sales Administration staff working for him to support the European sites as well as three staff in the USA, two in Hong Kong and one in New Zealand.
Marc Lunn
Marc is a science graduate and qualified Chartered Accountant, having trained with KPMG Nottingham from 1990 to 1996. Marc elected to further his career in Industry and worked as Site Accountant at Courtaulds Chemicals before moving into the food industry with Express Dairies (subsequently part of Arla Foods). He gained operational experience by working as Finance Manager within a multi-disciplinary site management team, and later became responsible for Group Reporting and Management Information after the establishment of Arla Foods UK plc. Marc joined Picsolve in August 2006 as Chief Finance Officer, managing a worldwide team of finance staff.
