Technological innovation during the lifetime of our partnership
One of Picsolve's goals is to be at the forefront of technical innovation. This not because we like technology for technology's sake, but because we know that we can use technology to drive sales and profit.
One example of this is in screens to display the customer's photos. We were one of the first photo companies to adopt TFT LED screen technology, replacing cathode ray tube (CRT) products. The advantage of TFT LCD screen technology is that the image presented to the customer is clearer, sharper and visible from a much wider range of viewing angles. In addition, the level of reflections on the screen is dramatically reduced. This improved projection of the photo image means that customers are much more likely to buy.
In the case of park F, we installed new TFT LCD screens on a particular ride at the start of the 2006 season, replacing the CRT screens. Sales increased by 22% in that year.
We will have replaced all CRT screens in all the European parks we serve in time for the start of the 2008 season, finishing a 3 year programme of upgrades.
